In accordance with BAATL ANSP Policy Statement ‘to provide the highest level of safety in its air navigation services and whenever practicable improve the safety of those services’ BAATL will be looking for highly safety focused Air Traffic Engineer who will maintain the current high standard of service delivery.
BAATL would therefore like to invite applications for the following post:
Communication, Navigation, Surveillance (CNS) Engineer – The successful candidate will be motivated, reliable and self-disciplined. As part of the CNS team you will primarily maintain, repair, modify and ensure the safe operation of communications, navigation and surveillance systems for the safety of aircraft in flight and on the ground in accordance with statutory and regulatory requirements and BAATL Safety Management System.
The successful candidate must have undertaken suitable training with a minimum of 5 years experience within an Air Traffic Engineering environment, possess a degree or diploma in a related subject or have a minimum of a nationally recognised Level 3 qualification in a related subject with previous professional experience within a similar position or role. It is preferred that the candidate should hold all ATSEP Specific Equipment ratings and holds a current PTC which has been issued by a UK CAA approved training and competency scheme or equivalent experience.
Experience working at Level 2/depth B or working within a similar environment such as OEM or military.
Experience working with Windows, Linux operating systems and networks would be advantageous
A comprehensive knowledge of Safety Management Systems, is also desirable.
